I think it's similar to how you get compressor/OD pedals then you get bass versions of those same pedals - they're often the same pedal but they're marketed to different audiences. You reach a different audience by virtue of what it's called and how it's presented, not what it actually does. ![]() It's all about marketing and optics and exploiting the fact that loopers are traditionally marketed as loopers and not recorders, so there's an opportunity to steal the marketing space for a new product by simply marketing it as a recorder instead. There's really no benefit to this WireTap from a functional standpoint. The Jamman Solo XT is pretty small and it has loads of storage for recording riffs + expandable by microSD and a screen so you can see which memory slot you're in and access other features. ![]() But you can do this with most loopers already on the market.
